Los Angeles, CA –May 4, 2011 – Cuban-American music sensation Pitbull invites listeners to
discover the new world of sounds he created for Planet Pit, the hit-maker’s sixth album. Available
on June 21, the new album unites Pit’s rapid-fire rhymes and billion-dollar beats with musical
influences from around the world to create a one-of-a-kind sound.
His experiences growing up in Miami combined with his recent global success influenced the
album’s rich mix of styles, says Pitbull, whose given name is Armando Christian Pérez. “It
embodies a bit of everywhere I’ve been,” he says referring to his recent globe-spanning tours. “I’
m trying to be the ambassador; the bridge builder who brings elements from all over the world
and puts it all together so it sounds like nothing you’ve ever heard before.”
Pitbull teams with Ne-Yo, Afrojack and Nayer for the new single from Planet Pit, “Give Me
Everything.” Already climbing the charts, the song is poised to pick up where Pit’s multi-platinum
smash hits “I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho),” “Hotel Room Service” and “Hey Baby (Drop It On
The Floor)” left off. Like the star-studded single, the album is filled with pop music luminaries
such as Marc Anthony (“Rain Over Me”), Chris Brown (“International Love”), and Kelly Rowland
(“Castles Made of Sand”).
To give Planet Pit its edge, Pit surrounds himself with many of today’s hottest artists, including
appearances by T-Pain and Sean Paul. To blend the album’s diverse sounds into a seamless
flow, Pit tapped top producers like David Guetta, Afrojack (“Something 4 The DJ’s), RedOne,
Polow Da Don and DJ Frank E. In fact, Pitbull’s “Come & Go” marks the first time ever that super-
producers Dr. Luke, Benny Blanco and Max Martin worked together with Pit.
Pitbull’s just off a wave of featured smash hits with Usher’s “DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love,” Enrique
Iglesias’ “I Like It” and the Jennifer Lopez current mega single “On The Floor.” He will promote
Planet Pit this spring with several high-profile television appearances along with a number of
concerts. Known for his electrifying performances, Pit fuses his fierce rhymes, sizzling pop hooks
and swaggering stage presence with the raw energy of a live band to create a spontaneous
atmosphere. “When the congas are pounding and the bass is thumping behind me,” says Pitbull
“nothing can touch me.”
Even with the new album and upcoming concerts, Pitbull still found time to introduce Voli, his own
line of premium, low-calorie vodka and a partnership with Sheets, the dissolvable energy strip.
The entrepreneurial ventures are the latest for Pitbull, who also successfully launched his own
Polo Grounds Music/J Records imprint (Mr. 305 Records) and inked major sponsorship deals with
blue-chip brands Kodak, Dr. Pepper Bud Light and is now ready to introduce the planet to Mr.
Worldwide.

TINA is a singer, songwriter, guitarist, tabla player, writer, dancer, and actor that has been
touring worldwide since the age of five. Recently featured on Style Network’s hit show
“Jerseylicious”, she is about to make her mainstream breakthrough with her new single “So
Good” featuring Fat Joe. The video for “So Good” received 30,000 views in it’s first week,
which is extremely rare for an Indie Artist. “So Good” is an instantaneous, catchy pop hit that
is guaranteed to make listeners feel “So Good”!
TINA - Born in Mumbai, raised in New Jersey - music has always been an integral part of pop
sensation TINA’s life. Singing and performing since 5 years old, she had an early start with a
very musical family who toured as a professional group on weekends.
While her family may have been a traveling, touring act to a degree, the importance of
academics and family values was instilled by her parents. School was always an integral part
of TINA’s youth – yet after graduation, the young scholar set aside an honors biology
degree and being accepted into an accelerated medical program to follow her passion for
music.
Since then, the rising star has been on a musical journey experimenting in a few different
genres – complete with having worked with everyone from Ringo to Fat Joe. No stranger to
the spotlight, TINA has been on camera for everything from musical touring to media
interviews, to acting in dramatic soap operas to Indian comedies to VJ-ing a show for three
years that was broadcasted in 150 million households around the world. TINA is currently
very excited about her rebranding with a sexy new image and hot edgy urban pop sound.
Like many breaking artists who are likened to their successors, TINA often gets compared to
Nicole Scherzinger of the Pussycat Dolls, as well as mega talents Prince and Shakira
because of her multi talent ability to sing, dance and play multiple instruments. She plays
several instruments with guitar and tabla (an Indian drum) being her main focus.
TINA has surrounded herself with an impeccable team of supertalents, both on the creative
and business end. For her single, “So Good”, superstar Fat Joe is a featured guest. The
song itself is a timpani driven high energy pop track with an infectious synth driven chorus,
seductive both literally and figuratively, with Fat Joe chiming in to add his praise for TINA’s
playfulness. The track is the masterpiece of the stellar musical pair of Charlie Hype and Jim
Beanz of Timbaland Productions (Katy Perry, Jamie Foxx, Justin Timberlake). Written by Jim
Beanz, the innovative “So Good” track was produced by Charlie Hype, which proves to be a
perfect match for the sensual, exotic beauty. This collaboration of talent finesses the art of
musical seduction.
Acclaimed director Paul “Coy” Allen (Faith Evans, Katy Perry, Drake) lends his expert vision
to “So Good.” Shooting for two overnight sessions (since both the bank robbery and
nightclub scenes had to be done at night) the rapport could not have been better and the
result is a stunning visual piece of eye candy. The striking appeal of the video attracted
popular Style Network reality show Jerseylicious to participate and include the making of the
"So Good" video in to one of their upcoming episodes.
The singer is shunning the old school ideology of shopping the album around, to instead
release it through her own production team – Sunset Entertainment Group. With the industry
changing so much, an artist has the resources to do so much more independently than in
the past. Of her do it yourself movement, TINA says “I’m not trying to make an anti-record
label statement with this album, but with this unstoppable team on my side this is an
opportunity to actively make things happen, instead of the waiting game of them happening
to you!”

Hip-hop culture is in Brooklyn native Milly Warbucks’ blood. The 29-year-old emcee began his career at the age of nine when he was
featured on a mixtape created by his older family members. Over the years Milly sharpened his skills by engaging in local cyphers and
freestyle competitions throughout the East New York—introducing his skills and unique name to the borough.
The moniker, Milly Warbucks is actually a derivative of a nickname given to him by his grandparents. “When I was younger I always talked
about millions, so that name stuck.” He later added Warbucks (not to be confused with “Daddy Warbucks”) to his stage name to symbolize
what he stands for. “The War part is because I’m always prepared and bucks is for the financial level I will achieve through music,” says
Milly.
Unfortunately, with one foot in the industry—rapping and working as a promoter—and one foot in the street Milly eventually got caught up
and was sentenced to four years in jail. Though he was incarcerated it did not stop his love of music or his hunger for success. Once he
was released he attacked the NYC hip-hop scene with equal skill and aggression.
The diverse emcee/songwriter’s first post incarceration project was the critically acclaimed This is How it Shoulda Been Done mixtape. The
release featured Milly interpreting various popular songs and putting his own spin on them. The project was put together so well that
many fans assumed the songs were official remixes, which is a testament to Milly’s talent.
In 2009 Milly made a splash nationally with the single “Chea Chea” featuring Princess of Crime Mobb. The single got spins on various
stations and several hits on influential blogs and websites. Later that year he also recorded a song and video for “Everything I Need” with
R&B singer Qui—who is also the daughter of NFL Hall of Fame wide receiver Jerry Rice.
Milly is currently working on what he says is the first project that fully represents him. The currently untitled project will feature production
from Joshua Mirk (Jay-Z, Ciara, Anthony Hamilton). Milly hopes to give listeners all facets of his life as an artist and a person with the
upcoming release.
With wisdom and experience under his belt and undeniable talent, there is no stopping Milly Warbucks from realizing his dream and letting
the world hear the next big thing out of Brooklyn.

With credits that include work for Coca Cola, Apple, and MTV, bassist, singer and songwriter Nik West is anything more than just another
pretty face. Challenging and changing the industry around her day by day, West is a special musician with a deep love for music and the
chops to back it up.
West’s musical journey began in her hometown, Phoenix, AZ. It was there that her father T. West—an accomplished guitarist—taught her
how to play the axe when she was just 13-years-old. Growing up in a household filled with music and creativity. West’s family includes her
sisters (keys, drums, violin, and guitar) who were her first band and singing act, and an older brother, a few of which she still records with
today.
Though she began her musical journey playing the guitar, the left-handed phenom truly realized her calling when she discovered the
bass while in high school. After discovering the instrument there was no stopping her.
Music was not the only area West excelled in. The accomplished model and musician was a straight A student in
high school and a track and field record holder. Unfortunately for the universities that offered her scholarships for her mind and athletic
acumen, West chose music as her career path.
West’s skill was noticed early on by legendary music company, Fender. They took notice of her standout voice and soulful bass playing
and offered her an artist endorsement. She was also one of the first musicians to play Fender’s first 6-string bass. West’s string of
accomplishments continued as she was selected to endorse SWR’s Black Beauty Amplifiers. The photo of West that is featured in the
SWR advertisement was hand selected by legendary bassist Marcus Miller. The ad is currently running in Bass Player Magazine.
Although West’s father taught her and her siblings how to sing at a young age she has always considered herself more of a bassist than
a singer. So much so that she intended for her debut album—Just in the Nik of Time—to be an instrumental project. “The producer I was
working with, Justin James, told me I have a wonderful voice and I need to sing,” says West. “I ended up doing it and I kind of like it now.”
While working on that album, Dave Stewart of Eurythmics also became acquainted with West’s work and reached out to her to join his all-
female Rock Fabulous Orchestra. Within days she was performing with Stewart in Los Angeles to capacity crowds. Days later she also
began working with Stewart and Grammy-winning songwriter/producer Glen Ballard (Alanis Morissette, George Strait, and Michael
Jackson) on a recording project.
Noted music journalist Alex Henderson sums the West’s incredible talent up saying “Nik West is one 21st Century R&B artist who isn’t
lacking in the chops department. She is a young electric bassist who clearly knows her way around her instrument and plays like she has
been inspired by the funky likes of Graham, Louis Johnson (of Brothers Johnson fame) and Marcus Miller.”
After nearly two years of hard work West’s labor of love was released—very fittingly—on Valentine’s Day, 2011. Just in the Nik of Time
has already received rave reviews from critics and is selling well internationally. The album showcases West offering fans her songwriting
and bassist skills as well as her soulful voice. Tracks like “Black Beauty,” “Eyes Closed” and West’s personal favorite “Forbidden Fruit”
are sure to remind listeners that real music still exists.

BEAT THE WORLD: THE GLOBAL HIP HOP SOUNDTRACK

Music Genres: Hip Hop / Rap, R&B, World
|
“We’re gonna dance to the halls of freedom, tear down the walls – baby, we don’t need ‘em”
- KRS-One, “Hip Hop Nation”
More than just another film soundtrack, Beat the World is the coming together of some of the world’s most prominent conscious Hip Hop
artists as part of a vision to build new social paradigms through music and film.
When Somalian born new-school rapper and World Cup ambassador K’NAAN joined forces with one of Hip Hop’s most respected founding
fathers, KRS-One, to record the film’s title track “Hip Hop Nation”, they were on a mission: to represent the positive voice and power of the
world’s largest music-based cultural movement – Hip Hop. In addition to creating an original voice for Beat the World, they created an
anthem for the evolution of the global Hip Hop movement.
“Hip Hop Nation” both drives the action of the film and emphasizes a shared underlying theme: we are all equal and united under one
global movement, using music, dance and creativity to breakdown borders and stereotypes that may otherwise divide us.
In "Express Yourself", reggae Icon Ziggy Marley and Nigerian-born powerhouse Nneka join forces to unveil another simple but crucial
theme: our need for self-expression, whether through music, dance, art, film or freedom of speech.
Other notable collaborations on the soundtrack include the heroic “Infinite Love,” featuring top British rapper Sway together with the
renowned lyrical wordsmith Talib Kweli, and the multi-lingual world-beat dance track “Must Be the Music” performed by Les Nubians
(France), Lina (US) and MV Bill (Brazil).
The only solo artist track, the end title “Keep Shining” by Kenya-born Canadian Hip Hop artist Shad is guaranteed to rock and inspire as
deeply as the best of Nas or Kanye West.
Beat the World, written and directed by Robert Adetuyi (Stomp the Yard), is an engaging drama about top international dance crews
coming from around the world to Detroit to compete in the International Hip Hop Dance Competition.
The film also introduces a new dance style that combines traditional B-Boy & Street Dancing with more extreme forms of Parkour and
Free-Style Running. The release of Beat the World marks the first synthesis of these styles on the silver screen, further pushing the edge
of traditional forms in dance and music.
The more soulful vibe of “Express Yourself” underscores a stunning montage in the film spanning three countries. Nina, Yuson and Maria
(the three main characters) each work through their own internal struggles by dancing solo on their respective rooftops high above the
bustling streets of Berlin, Detroit, and Rio De Janeiro.
Beat the World is the first international Hip Hop soundtrack featuring cross-cultural collaborations between these highly prominent and
socially conscious artists. Grammy nominated songwriter/producer Frank Fitzpatrick traveled the globe to write and record original songs
with these innovative masters to show how the powerful influence of global Hip Hop culture can inspire, empower and connect the world’s
youth.
Both the film and the soundtrack will be distributed in over 20 countries throughout the Summer of 2011, starting on June 14th. With an
unprecedented launching sale price of $5.99 for full album downloads on iTunes, Fitzpatrick hopes to make the soundtrack accessible to
a wider global audience.
More than just another album, the Beat the World Soundtrack is part of EarthTones’ Music with a Heart series. A portion of the proceeds
from the soundtrack will help underserved students attend Debbie Allen’s Dance Academy.
